Raisinberry lost me when she 'rationalized' $1,500 on the second month. I know the Pink Truth crowd is really sensitive to being called names, so I won't use any mean names, but PLEASE if you are in Mary Kay and reading this... DON'T SPEND $1500 to "save" anything. If you don't need inventory, don't order. If your unit is not ready for you to be ____________ (whatever your next level is), than wait until they are.
Sure, it is frustrating to find yourself having spent money you don't have for a title you haven't earned and ending up at the a painful dead end, and sure, there are people in Mary Kay continuing traditions like these and putting inappropriate pressure on people to do these things, but seriously, this is NOT Mary Kay's fault.
I am a huge proponent of personal responsibility. This smacks of 'blame someone else' to me. |

I hate reading over there because I don't want to add to visitor number and also because I just get upset reading comments sometimes. But I had to on this one. It's easy to see why, if not read really carefully with a lot of logic, some would be quick to jump on this bandwagon. She does lay it out pretty convincingly, and if any part of that would ring true with a woman (little parts of it did for me), she might see that and nothing else.
ReplyDeleteLuckily though, God did give me a brain with which to reason with. But I can see how some women might read things they sort of agree with and then have an emotional response that outweighs logic. Clever ploy!
The problem is too that just as PT tends to hammer home "they are all manipulators and you must think like them if you are at all involved with MK" (whatever "like them" means), it's essentially exchanging one for the other. You must espouse some party line or risk banning, deletion, and mockery.
ReplyDeleteI'm not going to presume to claim some of the unethical activities didn't happen, but people should NEVER suspend their intuition, their logic, or their common sense. Especially when it comes with such a price tag.
