Do Sales Directors Depend on Others For Their Income?

In Mary Kay, the pyramid-toppers want you to believe that you control your own income. That you don’t depend on others. If you want a raise, you just go out and get it for yourself. You, as a director, can control your income with the amount of activity you do. Nothing could be further from [...]
While there is some issue with assumptions in the Mary Kay document (particularly the $1,000 average order), Pink Truth is not proving anything other than the fact that they can say, "this proves nothing".

This is one of those documents that gives you a goal and some idea of how much work will be involved in making the kind of money you may (or may not) want to make as a director.

If you are putting yourself out there - warm chatting, holding classes, following up on leads (say 40 hours a week), I don't see how you would come up with any less than 5 new recruits/month.  Are you trying to talk 5 people into joining on the 28th of the month?  Than, yes, you will have issue(s) with that!  But if you are consistently offering information and following up on people that were interested, it seems that within a month or two, you should be able to rely on 5 new recruits/month.

Whether every director in America or none are actually doing it, has little to do with whether or not it is doable.
