Written by DupedByPinkFriend Are you impulsive? Do you tend to make life-altering decisions on a whim, or are you the type to think things over before embracing a new venture? One thing I agree with in this post is that you should not make a snap decision about Mary Kay or any other endeavor.  You should find out what you are getting involved with until you fully understand the risk, the expectations, the requirements and what it will take for you to succeed according to YOUR definition of success.

What Pink Truth still does not seem to understand is that the "Pink Truth 'right way' of doing Mary Kay" is NOT the right way to do Mary Kay.  As is clear from this article, they seem to think that THEIR plan of churning through anything that breathes is "the Mary Kay Way" and the only way to succeed, while they continually point out that this method is doomed to failure.  They clearly did not try to do it the right way and refuse to acknowledge that anyone is doing it the right way and succeeding.

One commenter "MLM Radar Detector" says:

"
It bears repeating: In a real business the business owner recruits another team member because she has more customers than she can handle with her existing staff.
In Mary Kay the “business owner” recruits another team member because she doesn’t have enough customers and has run out of places to find them.
"

This assertion is only true in some businesses.  When a business hires SALES staff, it is to find customers it otherwise would not be able to reach.  Mary Kay recruits SALES staff for this purpose.  This is no different than any business finding ways to market their product.
