Typical Pink Truth nonsense. An argument could be made that Mary Kay is a little to keen on their meetings.  One could also be made that there is not 'sophisticated' enough training at most of those meetings. However, the nature of sales dictates that you are knowledgeable and EXCITED about what you are selling. Getting excited about what your selling is probably one of the most important parts of weekly (and special) events.
